WHAT WLL YOU EXPERIENCE AT THE FAIRE
For the fifth year the St Ives Medieval Faire returns to Sydney’s St Ives Showground
The Showground will be hay-strewn and hand-forged into an accurate recreation of Medieval Europe.
The Faire is a premium event on the international medieval jousting calendar and has attracted the world’s best jousters who will do battle at the only solid wood joust tournament in the southern hemisphere. Learn more about the joust here
Faire-goers can enjoy plenty of medieval activities, including a life-sized trebuchet and traditional archery demonstrations. Kids activities include a knight’s academy, medieval animal farm, pony rides, juggling workshops, medieval dance lessons, puppetry, craft activities, stories and more.
The Faire features the largest living medieval village in Sydney with more than 330 re-enactors in groups from across the country travelling to St Ives to represent life from the Dark Ages through to the Renaissance. The Markets include authentic crafters and artisans such as blacksmiths and bodgers.
Our medieval tavern stocked by Two Birds Brewing, invites you to try a special release medieval beer while enjoying good company and medieval musicians.
Complete your immersion into this fascinating time by donning your own tunic and armour. Dress yourself as a tyrannical king, a warrior, a merchant, or a character of your own fantasy. Prizes will be awarded to those who impress.
